About us

We are a group of enthusiastic software developers located in Switzerland and Germany. We have made the experience multiple times that software development in the 21th century as it's done in the commercial or non-commercial market still lacks a solid use of quality-assuring methods. That does not completely apply to all software projects or products we observed - there are software developers which use state-of-the-art techniques to improve the quality of their software. However the majority of software development happens in an uncontrolled manner and results in throw-away software (which most often is not thrown away but sold instead).

We reduce the current situation to two general problems. The first one is a general aversion against quality-assurance. The most often mentioned reason is "too much effort and too less benefit". Convincing people that this argument is everything else than well-reasoned is a difficult task - most often the best method would be comparing software development with and without having used quality-assuring methods. However this is almost always an expensive and not feasable way.

The second problem is the difficulty of finding and applying appropriate tools. Many tools are hard to attach to existing software builds, other tools deliver very abstract and useless metrics. Today's agile development processes and off-shoring trends demand for tools which are quick and easy to apply and deliver rock-solid results.

Our goal

Our goal is to establish a set of tools which are very easy to use and increase the quality of developed software notably. This website serves as a platform for these tools. Please note that we do not provide any commercial support for our stuff. However you are free to contact us in case of questions or feedback.
